Seal Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- Freshman Alexander Seal of the Boston University men's cross country team was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Making his collegiate debut on Saturday, Seal placed 18th at the Nassaney Invitational in Smithfield, R.I. He finished the 5K race with a time of 15:27.0 and was the fourth Boston University runner to cross the line. His performance helped the Terriers finish third overall in the 11-team field.
Also receiving recognition from the Patriot League was senior Kevin Thomas, who received honorable mention after his sixth place finish on Saturday. Thomas finished the 5K run with a time of 15:00.
The Terriers will return to action on Sept. 25 when they take part in the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown, hosted by Boston College at Franklin Park.
