BOSTON - Highlighted by four home meets, the Boston University swimming and diving 2015-16 schedule was announced on Tuesday afternoon by head coach Bill Smyth.
BU is set to host Fordham (Nov. 7), Bryant (Jan. 23), Patriot League foe Bucknell (Oct. 17) and the annual Terrier Invitational (Nov. 20-22) in the Competition Pool this season.
"We are thrilled to announce our 2015-2016 schedule," coach Smyth said. We look forward to our continued local rivalries with both UMass and Boston College as well as our newer rivals in the Patriot League. We will wrap our regular season with the Patriot League Championships in Annapolis in February and look towards qualifying for the NCAA Championships in March."
The Terriers kick their season off with a dual meet on the road at conference rival Lehigh on October 10 before returning home for a meet with the Bison.
In total, BU begins the year with four dual meets, also traveling to UMass (Oct. 24), before their first multi-team event of the season, the Terrier Invite, which BU has hosted, with varying names, every fall since Smyth began his tenure in 2006.
BU finishes up the 2015 portion of its schedule with a quad meet at Rutgers, where the Terriers will compete against the Scarlet Knights, Connecticut and Yale.
After a holiday hiatus, the Terriers resume their schedule with a duel meet Colgate (Jan. 9). They close their home slate against Bryant on January 23 but have a short trip down Commonwealth Ave. for their final dual meet of the year at Boston College (Jan. 30).
This year the Patriot League Championships are hosted by reigning men's and women's champs, Navy, in Annapolis, Md.
