
Terriers Resume Competition, Sweep Colgate

HAMILTON, N.Y.--After over a month off of competition, the Boston University swimming and diving team resumed its schedule with a dual meet at Colgate on Saturday afternoon. Both the women's and men's team defeated the Raiders, as the women's team finished with a score of 185-104 and the men's team finished with a score of 196-93.

In total, eight Terriers recorded multiple wins on the day, helping BU win all but four of 28 races.
On the women's side, Stephanie Nasson had wins in both the 400 and 800 free, Nikki Bookwalter swept the backstroke competition, winning both the 100 and 200 events, Erin Nabney took first in the 100 breaststroke and 100 free, Julimar Avila won the 50 free and 100 fly and Kyra Tatlow swept the diving events, winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter competition.
Mika Spencer also finished the day with a win, taking first-place in the 200 freestyle for the Terriers.
On the men's side, Trevor Winans had first-place finishes in the 200 and 400 free, Daniel Andronov swept the breaststroke competition with wins in the 100 and 200 events and Garrett Chin came away with first-place finishes in both the 200 fly and 200 back.
Quinn Smith (100 back), Brian Habacivch (50 free) and Edwin Angjeli (100 fly) also took first-place in their events while David Thiede and Eric Mitchell cleaned up in the diving pool, winning the 1-meter and 3-meter events, respectfully.
BU is back in action on Saturday, Jan. 23 when the Terriers host their final meet of the season against Bryant at 1:30 p.m. in the Competition Pool.
