BU Completes Terrier Invitational

BOSTON - Highlighted by three victories, the Boston University men's swimming & diving team competed at the Terrier Invitational this past weekend at the Competition Pool.
BU finished third with 663.5 points, behind only Army West Point (1137) and Boston College (950). The Terriers totaled six different top-five performances on Sunday en route to finishing over 100 points clear of fourth-place UMass (543).
Trevor Winans concluded a terrific three days with his second victory of the weekend on Sunday. He took first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 45.48 seconds. Winans also won the 200 freestyle on Saturday and was second seconds better in the 500 freestyle this year than at last year's Terrier Invitational. Winans also raced in the 400 freestyle relay on Sunday, teaming up with Brian Habacivch, Matt Traub and Quinn Smith to finish fourth with a time of 3:05.13.
Garrett Chin, a winner on Saturday in the 400 IM, had two top-five finishes on Sunday. He took third in the 200 butterfly (1:49.76) and finished fourth in the 200 backstroke (1:48.56). Tommy Hagerty was fourth in the 1650 freestyle (15:45.38) while Daniel Andronov finished fifth in the 200 breaststroke (2:04.64).
