BOSTON - Riding a season-high four-game win streak, the Boston University men's basketball team will host American on Wednesday with tip-off slated for 7 p.m.
The Patriot League's longest active win streak has allowed the Terriers (14-11, 7-5 PL) to exceed last year's win total with six regular season games remaining and also move into a four-way tie for second in the conference standings.
BU started the conference slate 0-3 and has gone 7-2 since with three of the last four wins coming on the road. In the last home contest at Case Gym, the Terriers pulled out a last-second thriller, as senior John Papale hit a floater to claim a 75-73 win over Lehigh and the top spot on SportsCenter's Top 10 list.
They will face another team in American (7-16, 5-7 PL) that's been playing well as of late. The Eagles opened conference play at 0-6 but have gone 5-1 since then with domating victories against PL leader Bucknell (69-55) and Holy Cross (58-45).
