DURHAM, N.H. – Hitting the road for the first time this season, the Boston University women's basketball team fell to New Hampshire, 72-57, Wednesday night at Lundholm Gymnasium.

- The first quarter consisted of six lead changes and three ties as both teams struggled to find a shooting rhythm.
- BU heated up down the stretch, while Katie Nelson connected from beyond-the-arc in the waning seconds of the first to put BU on top, 13-11.
- The Wildcats opened the second stanza with a 7-2 run to take the lead at 18-15, though the lead was short-lived as Vanessa Edgehill promptly hit a 3-pointer to tie the game back up.
- Nia Irving hit a pair of free throws to make it a one-possession game at 24-22 with four minutes left before the break, but UNH close out the frame with an 11-6 run to hold the scoreboard at 35-28.
- Irving led the Terriers at the break with 12 points on 8-of-8 shooting from the free throw line.
- BU battled back to cut the deficit to 39-35 after a Payton Hauck triple midway through the third, though the Terriers shot just 20 percent (3-of-15) in the frame and trailed 49-40 heading into the fourth.
- UNH pulled away in the final frame, connecting on 14-of-20 from the charity stripe to hand BU its first loss of the season.
- UNH, the unanimous preseason America East favorite, picked up its fourth straight win over the Terriers to match its longest win streak in the series since 2000-02.
