Women's Basketball Closes Non-Conference Slate Friday at Brown

BOSTON – Taking the road for its non-conference finale, the Boston University women's basketball will head to Brown on Friday, Dec. 22 for a 1 p.m. tilt. Opening tip from the Pizzitola Sports Center can be seen live on NESNplus and the Ivy League Network.
LAST TIME OUT
- BU dropped its second straight game as UCF pulled away with a 47-32 decision Dec. 13 at Case Gym.
- Corrine Williams led the Terriers in scoring for the first time this season, tallying up 12 points on 4-of-10 shooting.
- Sophie Beaudry led the team in both rebounds (5) and blocks (3).
- Neither team could find its rhythm from the floor, as UCF hit on just 34 percent of its shots (17-for-50) and BU connected on just 31 percent (13-for-42).

- As a team, the Terriers lead the Patriot League with 5.33 blocks per game.
- BU has swatted at least four shots over the last five games, including a season-high 11 blocks against Boston College Nov. 26.

- Nelson ranks second in the league in triples per game (2.7) and 3-point field goal percentage (.421).
- Nelson leads the Terriers with 24 makes from beyond-the-arc, which accounts for nearly half of BU's makes from deep (24-or-56).
- Corrine Williams is the only other Terriers with double-digit (10) makes from 3-point range.
SCOUTING BROWN
- Off to its best start in program history, Brown enters Friday's matchup with a 9-1 record and is riding a seven-game win streak.
- Brown holds three of the top five scorers in the Ivy League, led by Shayna Mehta, who leads the team and ranks second in the Ivy League with 19.6 points per game.
- Justine Gaziano (18.6) and Taylor Will (17.1) follow in scoring, while Erika Steeves leads the team in rebounding (9.1).
- The Bears feature a high-octane offense, as they have scored over 70 points in all but one game.
- Fourth-year head coach Sarah Behn has turned the program around, guiding the Bears to back-to-back winning seasons and claims a 51-45 overall record.
- Patriot League play begins on Friday, Dec. 29 as BU heads to Army West Point for a 3 p.m. tip.
