Justin Alston's double-double, the Boston University men's basketball team gained sole possession of second place in the Patriot League standings with a 69-68 wire-to-wire victory at Colgate on Wednesday night.

THE TURNING POINT
- Senior Justin Alston opened the game with a layup and free throw to give the Terriers the lead for good.
- Trailing by as many as 16 (25-9) in the first half, Colgate pulled within two with 23 and seven seconds remaining in regulation.
- On each occasion, the Terriers beat the Raiders' full-court press and found Alston for an easy slam dunk to hold off Colgate.
GAME NOTES
- The reigning PL Player of the Week Alston tallied 20+ points for the fourth time this season with a game-high 21 points and added a game-high 10 rebounds with two blocks for his third-career double-double ... On the flipside, Colgate's reigning Rookie of the Week Will Rayman tallied a team-high 20 points and seven rebounds for the Raiders.
- Freshman Max Mahoney finished with at least 10 points for the third time this season and added five rebounds.
- BU won for the first time this season (1-7) when finishing below 30 percent shooting from behind the arc (5-of-23 3FG, .238).
- The Terriers improve to 2-0 this season in games decided by one point and avenged an earlier 67-58 loss to Colgate to improve to 26-19 all-time against the Raiders.

- The Terriers will end their home regular season slate against current PL leader Bucknell on Sunday (Feb. 19) at 12 pm on the CBS Sports Network.
