BOSTON - The Boston University women's openweight and women's lightweight rowing teams will conclude their fall seasons on Saturday when they compete in the Foot of the Charles Regatta.
The competition is a "head" race held each year at the end of the fall against several local collegiate crews including Harvard, Northeastern, MIT and BC.
SATURDAY'S SCHEDULE
7:45AM - Women's 4+ (openweight and lightweight)
8:30AM - Women's Varsity 8+ (openweight and lightweight)
9:45AM - Novice 8+ (openweight and lightweight)
Women – Openweights
The women's openweight team will send out five boats on Satuday. The Terriers will race a varsity 4, a novice 4, two varsity 8s, and a novice 8. The varsity 4 race will start things off at 7:45 a.m.
After Saturday, the openweights will next compete next springs at the Doc Hosea Invite at Cooper River, N.J. on March 30.
Women – Lightweight
The women's lightweight team will also race five boats on Saturday. The Terriers will race two varsity 8s, two varsity 4s, and a novice 8. The lightweights will race at the same time as openweights with the varsity 4 race set to begin at 7:45 a.m. and the novice 8 race scheduled for 9:45 a.m.
After the Foot of the Charles, the lightweights will next compete in Clemson, S.C. at the Spring Break Regatta beginning March 16.
