Anderson Shatters 500 Free School Record on Day Two of PL Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Senior Grace Anderson of the Boston University women's swimming and diving continued her stellar performance at the Patriot League Championships, breaking a school record for the second straight day with a time of 4:45.91 in the 500 free.
Anderson, who led off the 800 free relay with a school record time of 1:46.25 to guide the relay team to a record-breaking time of 7:14.01 on Wednesday, won her first career gold medal at the Patriot League Championships.
Carly Soares and Sydney Lee also finished with person-best times, as Soares took fourth with a time of 4:15.31 and Lee ticked in at 4:55.89 to finish 11th overall. Megan Egan also finished 11th in the 200 IM, while Julimar Avila and Lizzzie Tillo tabbed fifth-place finishes in the 50 free and one-meter dive.
In the team standings, BU remains in fourth place with 140 points. Navy furthered its command with 338.5 points, Lehigh follows with 203 and Army West Point is right behind with 192.5.
The 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back and 200 free relay will take place tomorrow.
