BU Dominates Colgate, 163-98

RESULTS
HAMILTON, N.Y. - Behind 11 first-place finishes, the Boston University women's swimming & diving team picked up its season with a convincing 163-98 triumph over Colgate Saturday afternoon at Lineberry Natatorium for its first conference dual meet win of the season.
Carly Soares led the team with three individual victories on the day, taking the 1000 free and both the 100 and 200 breast. Julimar Avila and Sydney Lee also reached the podium three times, as Avila took the 50 free and 100 fly, while Lee earned the top finish in the 100 back and 100 free, and both aided the 200 medley relay to a first-place finish along with Brittany Steinfeld and Sydney Brown.
BU will have a quick turnaround as it returns home to Competition Pool on Wednesday, Jan. 16 for a dual meet against Bryant at 6 p.m.
