BOSTON – Highlighted by a seventh-place finish among US collegians by the Championship 8 boat, the Boston University men's rowing team competed in Day 2 of the 55th Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday. Over the two-day event, the men's rowing team recorded four top 10 finishes among US colleges while competing against a large and deep field of the top boats in the country.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Sunday

In the Men's Championship 8 race, BU's first varsity eight boat "A" boat, coxed by William Mulhall and stroked by Nils Kocher finished 12th overall and seventh among collegians with a time of 14:03.56.
The Men's Championship Eight "B" boat, coxed by Chloe Jacobs and stroked by Harrison Fox, finished 26th overall and 18th among collegians with a time of 14:37.19 in a field of 30 boats.

Saturday

The men's Club 8 boat, coxed by Grace Heavey and stroked by Theo Warren, finished eighth overall and seventh among collegians with a time of 15:08.41 in a field of 39 boats. BU was initially penalized 1 minute due to a collision with another boat and dropped to 25th place overall but BU appealed the decision. The Terriers' coxswain Grace Heavey appeared at the appeal and gave BU's version of the collision and the referees agreed, lifting the 1 minute penalty and restoring BU to 12th place overall.
The Club 4 "A" boat, coxed by Catherine O'Neal and stroked by Harrison Steck finished third among collegians with a time of 17:06.20.
The Club 4 "B" boat, coxed by Philip Melki and stroked by Fabrizio Di Lapigio finished fourth among collegians with a time of 17:09.61.
