Women’s Rowing Competes at HOCR; Club Four Takes Sixth

BOSTON - The Boston University women's openweight rowing team competed at the 55th Head of the Charles Regatta which concluded on Sunday. The two-day event was highlighted by a sixth-place finish in the women's Club 4 race. Overall all three of the Terriers boats finished within the top 20 competing against a large and deep field of the top collegiate boats in the country.

- Women's Championship 8 "A" - 17th among US collegians (16:15.99)
- Women's Club 4 – 6th among US collegians (19:08.33)
- Women's Club 8 – 11th among US collegians (17:46.37)
SUNDAY
- In the Championship 8 race, BU's first varsity eight boat, coxed by Julia White and stroked by Shannon McGurty, finished 17th among US collegians and 22nd overall with a time of 16:15.99. The Terriers finished ahead of several notable "A" boats including crews from Cornell, Dartmouth, URI and the Patriot League foe Bucknell.
- The Terriers Club 4 boat had a terrific performance on Saturday. Coxed by Mia Ball and stroked by Tiare Hicks, the Club 4 finished sixth overall with a time of 19:08.33 in a large and talented field of 55 boats.
- The Club 8 boat, coxed by Christina Lamagna and stroked by Shannon Gallup finished 11th among US Collegians with a time of 17:46.37 in a field of 31.
