
Johnson Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Following scoring the most points in a Terrier rookie debut since 1977, Boston University women's basketball freshman Sydney Johnson has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league Monday.
Johnson was stellar in the season opener against preseason MAAC favorite Marist on Friday, notching a team-high 21 points while also leading BU with four assists. Her 21 points were the most among all Patriot League rookies in their debuts. The Powder Springs, Georgia native overcame a 1-of-7 start from the floor to go 6-for-11 from the field and 3-of-5 from deep in the second half. The freshman earning a starting nod and played all but two minutes.
Johnson and the Terriers will visit New Hampshire on Tuesday, Nov. 12 to begin a three-game road trip.
