BOSTON – Looking to carry momentum from Wednesday's 14-point win against in-state rival Holy Cross, the Boston University men's basketball team will visit Colgate on Saturday for a 1 p.m. tip-off.

TERRIER TIDBITS
  • In the win over the Crusaders, the Terriers hit 11 3-pointers, second most this season, and posted their highest rebounding margin of the season at +24 (42-18).
  • After tallying a team-high 19 points against HC, junior Max Mahoney ranks 11th nationally at 64.6 FG%, well above his school record of 60.5 FG% set last season, and currently leads BU in both scoring (17.0 ppg) and rebounding (6.3 rpg).
  • Junior Tyler Scanlon ranks second in both categories at 12.9 ppg and 5.1 rpg, while leading in both assists (3.2 apg) and steals (1.2 spg) ... He was named Turnpike Trophy MVP on Wednesday after totaling 17 points, 10 rebounds, season-high six assists and three steals.
  • Scanlon became the third Terrier to earn a double-double this season alongside Mahoney and freshman Jack Hemphill ... The last eight BU double-doubles have occurred at Case Gym.
  • Sophomore Javante McCoy (10.9 ppg) flushed four 3-pointers for the fourth time this season, while sophomore Andrew Petcash (3.7 ppg) drained a season-high three treys against the Crusaders.
  • HC was the first opponent to be held under 40 percent shooting (37.3 FG%) since the Terriers won at Elon (32.7 FG%), 65-58, back on Dec. 1.
  • BU ranks 48th nationally at 47.6 FG% and is averaging 71.9 ppg while holding opponents to 71.5 ppg and 45.6 FG%.
SCOUTING COLGATE
  • The Raiders are riding a 12-game home win streak dating back to last season and are a perfect 8-0 this year ... They own notable wins against PL preseason favorite Lehigh (91-78), Monmouth (87-74) and most recently Army West Point (76-56).
  • Northwestern transfer Rapolas Ivanauskas is nearly averaging a double-double at 14.0 ppg and 8.4 rpg, while guard Jordan Burns is averaging a team-high 17.4 ppg and 5.5 apg ... Forward Will Rayman is also in double figures at 12.9 ppg with 6.7 rpg.
  • Colgate is averaging 73.5 ppg and 46.3 FG% while holding opponents to 69.9 ppg and 42.6 FG%.
  • The Raiders are the top rebounding team in the PL with a positive margin of 4.2 rpg.
SERIES HISTORY
  • BU leads the all-time series, 27-21, after Colgate claimed a 77-56 win at Case Gym back on Jan. 19 ... They first met in 1933-34.
  • The Raiders only led, 47-43, at 13:47 in the second half later 60-51 with 7:53 remaining before pulling away ... They shot 50.0 FG% and held the Terriers to 37.0 FG%.
  • Last season at Cotterell Court, Colgate flushed 12 3-pointers and finished with a 12-3 advantage in made free throws to claim the 74-60 victory.
