2019 Schedule
The Boston University men's and women's cross country teams announced their 2019 schedule on Tuesday afternoon.
BU will race four times prior to the Patriot League Championship, which is slated to take place at Colgate on Nov. 2. The Terriers will get a preview of the championship course on Sept. 7 when they open the season at the Harry Lang Invitational. They will then return home for the annual Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown at Franklin Park on Sept. 20. After another weekend off, BU will travel to Lehigh for the Paul Short Run on Oct. 5 before concluding the regular season at the Princeton Invitational on Oct. 19.
"We are excited for this year's schedule," head coach Paul Spangler said. "With a large and talented class of freshmen on our roster, we wanted to select competitions that allowed all our athletes a chance to earn valuable experience but also give our national-level athletes the opportunity to compete against the best in the country."
Following the Patriot League Championship, the Terriers will trek to Buffalo for the NCAA Northeast Regional on Nov. 15. The NCAA Championships will take place in Terre Haute, Ind., on Nov. 23.
Both squads will look to build upon solid performances at the 2018 Patriot League Championships. The Terrier men were runners-up last year for the first time since 2015 thanks to four top-10 finishers. The women improved to a fourth-place showing last season thanks to a fifth-place effort from Rookie of the Meet Jessica Kellar.
