Boston University Launches BU Connects Networking Platform
October 8, 2020 | General, Student-Athlete Academic Support Services, Bloom Family Leadership Initiative
BOSTON - BU Connects, a new networking platform exclusively for Boston University alumni, students, faculty and staff, launched on Thursday.
This initiative will bring Terriers together for personal and professional networking on a global scale, with a special emphasis on mentoring. Its users will have access to a broad and influential worldwide network.
BU Connects will serve as the new home of The Terrier Network, a dedicated space where alumni, student-athletes and athletics staff can come together to share knowledge and opportunities while staying apprised of upcoming events. Members can post any open jobs or internships available at their company as well as sign up for the Fall 2020 Terrier Network Mentoring Program.
"We join our entire campus community in the excitement of this launch," said Boston University director of athletics Drew Marrochello. "BU Connects will be a fantastic resource not only for our student-athletes but for our entire Athletics community. I look forward to seeing current and former Terriers from around the world connect with one another and build lasting professional and personal relationships."
Members are encouraged to activate their profile by logging in via LinkedIn. Users can also create an account with their email address or BU credentials. Once logged in, users can join affinity/professional groups, network directly using the member directory, engage in mentorship, and find or fill a job. A central BU Connects feed hosts an ongoing dialogue with questions, comments, and opportunities shared by alumni and students alike. Users can also stay up to date with the latest news and upcoming events from BU.
