ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Competing for the last session of the Patriot League Championships at Lejeune Hall, the Boston University women's swimming & diving team finished fifth at the four-day championship meet.
Sezin Eligul tied the 100 free school record (50.33), putting her name next to Sybil Smith, the most accomplished swimmer in program history.
The 400 free relay team of
Kara Lydzinski,
Francesca Leung,
Sydney Lee and Eligul closed out the meet with a third-place finish (3:21.44) to set another school record.
BU finished in fifth place with 401 points. Navy women won its ninth consecutive championship with 927 points, and Bucknell followed with 533 points.
Joanna McNulty opened the night with a sixth-place finish (16:57.22) in the 1650 free.
Marie Alameida had the best finish for the Terriers with a 12-place showing (2:03.87) in the 200 back.
Carly Soares finished in seventh place in the 200 breast (2:19.20), while
Grace Lange took 10th in the 200 fly (2:02.27).
