KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the eighth consecutive season, both the Boston University men's and women's soccer programs earned the Team Academic Award from the United Soccer Coaches (formerly known as the NSCAA). The award is the highest academic team award a program can earn and was given to those that boasted a grade point average of 3.0 or greater during the 2018-19 academic year.
A combined total of 889 soccer teams (333 men, 556 women) from the NCAA, NCCAA and NAIA were recognized, and BU was one of just 176 schools to have both of its programs honored.
Guided by head coach Nancy Feldman, the Terrier women earned a GPA of 3.44 for their 12th-straight honor, while the men under retired head coach Neil Roberts (fall 2019) and first-year head coach Kevin Nylen (spring 2020) claimed their eighth-consecutive award with a 3.39 GPA.
