
Melissa D'Amico Introduced as Women's Basketball Head Coach

BOSTON - Melissa D'Amico was introduced as the ninth head coach of the Boston University women's basketball team on Monday, April 26 at Case Gym.
Owning eight years of coaching experience at the DI level, D'Amico arrives to Boston after serving as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Wake Forest for the previous three seasons. Prior to Wake Forest, D'Amico spent a combined five years as an assistant at Yale and fellow Patriot League member Colgate.
Recognized by the WBCA as one of the top assistant coaches in the country, D'Amico has been named to the NEXTUP coaches program as well as the Thirty Under 30 list.
A 2008 graduate of Notre Dame, D'Amico played for Naismith Hall of Fame coach Muffet McGraw, where she started in 58 of 119 career games. The Fighting Irish went 90-39, ranked as high a fourth in the nation, and made an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance.
