Men's Swimming & Diving Concludes Boston Winter Open

BOSTON - The Boston University men's swimming & diving team concluded the Boston Winter Open on Saturday at Competition Pool.
BU posed six top-five finishes on Saturday, led by sophomore Matt Simpson. He secured fourth in the 200 fly (1:54.77) and fifth in the 100 fly (51.23). Junior Andreas Mason was right behind Simpson in the 100 fly, finishing sixth (51.37). Senior Brendan Meagher had a fourth-place performance in the 200 breast thanks to a time of 2:06.65 in the 200 breast.

Sophomore Andy Rogatinsky touched the wall in 57.55 to take fifth in the 100 breast, followed by Meagher in sixth (58.11). Rogatinsky was also seventh in the 200 breast with a time of 2:09.21, which was over eight seconds faster than his seed time. Graduate student Daniel Galante finished fifth in the 200 free with a time of 1:42.6. BU also took fourth in the 200 medley relay.
The Terriers will now turn their attention to the Patriot League Championships, which begin on Wednesday, Feb. 16, in Annapolis, Maryland.
