No. 12 Men's Rowing Races at Eastern Sprints

WORCESTER, Mass. – The No. 12 Boston University men's rowing team completed its performance at the 75th Eastern Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond on Sunday with the second varsity eight reaching the Grand Final and the other three crews advancing to the Petite Final.
The 4V8, which was coxed by Micah Lee and stroked by Hurst Thompson, started the afternoon off for the Terriers with a first-place finish in its Petite Final with a time of 6:14.83, ahead of Cornell, Syracuse, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
Coxswain Peter Adams and stroke seat Dylan Fagiani helped the Terriers' third varsity eight to a second-place finish (6:09.13) in its Petite Final behind Cornell but ahead of Navy, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Holy Cross.
Beating Northeastern by over five seconds in the morning heat to reach the 2V8 Grand Final, BU finished sixth overall behind Yale, Brown, Dartmouth, Harvard and Princeton. The boat, which was stroked by Bowen de Gouw and coxed by Matt Murphy, completed the course with a time of 6:04.33
The Terriers' varsity eight finished the day with a third-place finish in the Petite Final with a time of 6:14.92 behind Northeastern and Wisconsin but ahead of Cornell, Navy and Columbia.
This was the team's last race before the IRA National Championship Regatta, which will take place from June 3-5 in West Windsor, New Jersey.
