Sjöberg, Collins Sweep Weekly Awards for Second Time

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Junior runner Vera Sjöberg and freshman Caroline Collins were named Patriot League Women's Runner of the Week and Patriot League Women's Rookie of the Week, respectively, following their performances at the Princeton Fall Classic, the league announced Tuesday morning.
Sjöberg, a Stockholm, Sweden native, continued her impressive season for the Terriers, finishing the 6K race in 19:55.8 to take 11th in a field of 249 runners on Friday and leading the Terriers to a 12th-place finish. She picks up her second weekly award this year after winning the honor Oct. 8 after the Paul Short Run.
For the third time this season and for the third weekly awards session in a row, Collins earned Rookie of the Week honors. The Stow, Massachusetts native ran a time of 21:22.7 and finished 112th (18th among freshmen) at the Paul Short Run on Friday in just her second career 6K race.
Next up, the Terriers will compete at the Patriot League Championships at Lafayette on Saturday, Nov. 2.
