TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU is seeking its first three-game win streak of the season following victories over UAlbany (80-74 OT) and Thomas College (113-75).
- The Terriers are 2-2 away from Case Gym after winning two contests at the UMBC multi-team event with victories over the host Retrievers (75-71) and defending MEAC champion Howard (69-62) back on Nov. 23-24.
- Sophomore Kyrone Alexander has earned three of his four 20+ point performances this year after tallying a personal-best 26 points against UAlbany to lead BU at 14.0 ppg.
- Graduate student Miles Brewster is second at 10.0 ppg with a team-high 2.2 apg and 1.7 spg, while sophomore Michael McNair is close behind at 9.9 ppg.
- Senior Malcolm Chimezie (7.9 ppg) leads BU in rebounding at 5.9 rpg and in blocks at 1.3 bpg.
- Overall after posting the fourth-most points in program history against Thomas College on Monday, BU is averaging 71.0 ppg and 44.2 FG% while holding opponents to 69.0 ppg and 42.3 FG%.
- The Warriors are returning home from a seven-game road trip that included wins at Niagara (80-62), Canisius (60-52) and Troy (72-68).
- Merrimack is currently 1-1 at Lawler Arena with a 65-51 win over Vermont and 68-57 loss to Princeton.
- Named the 2024 NEC Rookie of the Year, 5-foot-10 guard Adam "Budd" Clark leads the Warriors in scoring at 19.9 ppg with 4.9 apg, 4.0 rpg and 2.2 spg.
- 6-foot-4 guard Devon Savage is the other Warrior in double figures at 10.1 ppg with 6-foot-7 forward Sean Trumper close behind at 9.3 ppg alongside a team-high 5.8 rpg.
- Merrimack is averaging 62.6 ppg and 40.2 FG% while holding opponents to 67.3 ppg and 40.7 FG%.
- BU has won all 10 meetings, including last year's 74-63 victory at Case Gym.
- The teams are meeting for the fifth time since the Warriors made the move to NCAA Division I with the first two contests decided by a combined three points.
- Last season, BU shot 68.2 FG% in the first half to grab a commanding 38-22 halftime lead and extended it to as high as 29 points late in the second half.
- Brewster totaled a team-high 17 points, while Landrum recorded 10 points and eight rebounds to help BU out-rebound Merrimack, 39-22.
- BU will next focus on finals and then head to UMass Lowell on Saturday, Dec. 21, for a 2 p.m. tip.
- The River Hawks have won the last two meetings with a 71-63 road victory last year and 68-60 home decision in 2022.
