ALLSTON, Mass. – The Boston University women's basketball team fell to Harvard on the road, 86-26 on Saturday afternoon at Lavietes Pavilion.

BU (5-5) was limited to under 24 percent shooting and committed 39 turnovers against the Crimson (11-1), who came into the matchup receiving votes in the AP Top 25 poll.

Sophomore Inés Monteagudo Pardo and freshman Allison Schwertner each posted six points. Sophomore Audrey Ericksen notched five points and five rebounds.

Harmoni Turner led all scorers with 20 points, while Elena Rodriguez added 12 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED

BU built an 8-5 lead on triples from Monteagudo and Ericksen as well as Schwertner's layup 3:02 into the contest.
Sophomore Sisi Bentley knocked down two free throws for an 10-9 lead, but a 6-0 Harvard run after a pair of Terrier turnovers gave the home side a 15-10 lead.
Ericksen's driving layup through the paint brought BU within one before baskets from Karlee White and Turner in the final nine seconds put the Crimson on top 20-15 after one quarter.
That ignited an 15-0 Crimson burst over nearly five minutes before Adler's baby hook shot made it 31-17 with 5:44 left in the second.
However, Harvard started a 10-0 run from there until halftime, leading 41-17 at the break.
Monteagudo's three-pointer and senior Alex Giannaros' layup accounted for BU's scoring in the third quarter.
Harvard's highest scoring quarter was the fourth period with 23 points.

STATS

In addition to just 10-of-42 makes from the field, BU shot just 3-for-18 from deep.
Harvard made 35 shots on 43.8 percent shooting, though that clip was just 15.2 percent (5-for-33) from distance.
The Crimson collected 42 points off turnovers and had 24 steals.

NOTES

Giannaros became the 20th Terrier in program history eclipse 1,100 career points in the effort.
Monteagudo canned multiple threes for the second time this year and sixth time in her career while making her first start on the campaign.
The all-time series shifts to 23-16 in Harvard's favor.
