EASTON, Mass. – The Boston University women's lacrosse team (4-0, 0-0 PL) continued its unbeaten season with a 16-15 win over Stonehill on the road Wednesday afternoon.

The Terriers had multiple leads throughout the four quarters, yet Stonehill took a 15-14 lead with 6:03 left in the fourth. BU tied the game 15-15 with 2:06 to go to cause the final decision to come down to the wire. Junior
Hannah Tillier scored the game-winning goal with one second left on the clock to secure BU's 16-15 win to improve to 4-0 on the season.

In addition to her game decider, Tillier had two goals early in the game. Sophomores
Elle Stevenson and
Leah Hodgins also netted hat tricks while junior
Abby Cotraro, senior
Tobey Tick and freshman
Reilly Walsh each scored twice. Freshman
Tessa Geddes also scored a goal of her own in BU's victory. Tick tallied two assists, Stevenson added one and senior
Ellen Monahan earned her first point of the season with an assist of her own.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- BU struck first with Stevenson finding the back of the net within the first minute of the period, but Stonehill created a tie 34 seconds later.
- Hodgins then scored off a feed from Tick before Stonehill scored two goals to take the lead.
- A lull in scoring ended when Cotraro found the back of the net with 8:33 to go in the first.
- Stonehill added another in the opening frame before BU went on to score three unanswered goals.
- Tillier scored her first of the day off a pass from Tick to create a 4-4 tie.
- After a Stonehill turnover, BU marched down the field as Stevenson found Tick to help BU regain the lead for the second time in the opening frame.
- Stevenson backed up Tick's goal with one of her own to end the first quarter up 6-4.
- Stonehill opened the scoring in the second quarter, but Geddes immediately responded by scoring moments after a successful draw control.
- Walsh then made it 8-5 with her fourth free position goal of the season.
- The teams played evenly on each end of the field for 4:44 until Stonehill found the back of the net for its sixth of the game.
- Walsh's second of the day came as the ball made its way past the goalie near the post.
- Stonehill then answered to make it 10-7 at the half.
- Following a yellow card on Jones, Stonehill closed in 10-8 with a free position goal.
- The Skyhawks added another on a woman-up opportunity as Stevenson was off the field for a green card.
- Stonehill tied the game for the first time since the opening quarter at 10-10 with 11:00 to go in the third.
- The tie did not last for long as Tillier put BU back on top with her second of the night.
- BU caused a turnover at midfield which led to Hodgins' second goal of the game that put BU up 12-10.
- Tick extended BU's lead once more in the third and Stonehill added another as BU was up 13-11 with a quarter remaining.
- Monahan marched the ball down the field after a turnover in the BU zone and found Hodgins who quickly made it 14-11 in BU's favor.
- Stonehill went on a four-goal run to eradicate the Terriers' lead, going up 15-14.
- With 2:06 to go, Stevenson completed her hat trick night to tie the game for the sixth time. Â
- Down to the wire, BU regained possession and Tillier made her way to the front of the net to solidify the 16-15 victory for the Terriers with one second remaining on the clock.

GAME NOTES
- BU fired off 39 shots to Stonehill's 29.
- Stevenson and Tillier both completed their fourth consecutive hat trick performance this season.
- The Terriers collected 23 ground balls while the Skyhawks collected 22.
- Stonehill went 22-for-23 on the clear compared to BU's 17-for-19 performance.
- BU registered 21 draw controls while Stonehill collected 17.
- Freshman netminder Natalie Aiosa made 10 saves for the second game in a row and the third time this season.
