BOSTON — The Boston University women's lacrosse team will play host to the Holy Cross Crusaders for the final game of the 2025 regular season on Thursday at Nickerson Field.

With a win, the Terriers will qualify for the Patriot League tournament and earn the fifth seed. With a loss, the team's playoff chances hinge on the result of the Lehigh-Lafayette contest on Wednesday night. If Lafayette wins, the Terriers will automatically qualify for the tournament regardless of the outcome of Thursday's game.

LAST TIME OUT

The Terriers used a fourth-quarter push to power past American, 12-5 on Saturday, April 19.
BU held a 6-5 lead with five minutes remaining, but a 6-0 run in the last 4:56 gave the Terriers a needed win.
Senior Hannah Tillier scored three goals and added two assists to lead the charge

TERRIER TIDBITS

Tillier's five point outing pushed her over the 100 career points mark. She now has 104 career points with 64 goals and 40 assists.
Sophomore Izabella Amonte has scored 34 goals this season and has 39 points, leading the team in both categories.
With her four goals against Lafayette earlier this year, Amonte became the first Terrier to score 20-plus goals in her first 10 career games since 2012, when Mallory Collins had 31 in her first 10 games.
In net, sophomore Natalie Aiosa has been stuffing the stat sheet – she is third in the Patriot League in saves per game (9.47) and save percentage (.461). In the NCAA rankings, Aiosa is 28th in save percentage and 20th in saves per game.
Junior Elle Stevenson is second on the team in goals with 26 and has 34 points, besting her career-best points mark of 31 that she set in 2024.
Freshman Kaitlyn Barton has been the Terriers' draw specialist this season, grabbing 57 this year.
Graduate student Kendall Sims has shown off her true midfield presence in her final year, leading BU in ground balls (36) while scoring 16 goals, causing 10 turnovers and collecting 28 draw controls.
Sims is third in the PL in ground balls per game (2.57) entering the week and is 35th in the country.

SCOUTING THE CRUSADERS

The Crusaders have lost four straight Patriot League games after starting 4-0 in conference play.
Holy Cross has been in the top half of Patriot League offenses with 12.93 goals per game and have the most assists per game in the conference (7.73).
The Crusaders have three players ranked in the top 10 of the Patriot League in points with Isabella Miller (73), Sally Zinsner (57) and Ella Kittredge (54) ranking third, ninth and 10th, respectively.
Mackenzie Creagh starts in net and boasts a .461 save percentage, second in the PL.

THE SERIES

BU is 13-4 against Holy Cross all time, but has dropped the past three contests.
Last year, the Crusaders won 16-8 in Worcester.
Raegan Bailey had a hat trick for BU and Alex Cutone, Tessa Geddes and Elle Stevenson all added a goal.
