HOW IT HAPPENED
- Amonte was the first scorer of the game, picking up a loose ball in the arc, shaking free of three defenders and slinging a shot into the net with 9:21 remaining in the first.
- Colgate was able to strike on two free position attempts.
- Geddes tied the game, cutting down from outside the 12-meter mark. She received a pass from junior Reilly Walsh and beat the goalkeeper at 3:58 in the first.
- Just 54 seconds later, Amonte dodged her way to giving BU the lead. She scored her second of the game to make it 3-2, a lead the Terriers would hold entering the second quarter.
- The Raiders tied it again, then Stevenson scooped up a failed clear by Colgate and took it herself in transition to put BU up 4-3 with 12:03 remaining in the first half.
- Geddes extended the lead with a free-position goal with 11:04 left in the frame.
- Colgate would score another free-position goal before the half, and BU took a 5-4 lead into the locker room.
- Coming out of the break, Amonte found herself one-on-one with a Raider and sped toward the middle of the arc, firing a lefty shot to the right side of the goal.
- Geddes extended the lead to 7-4 by completing her hat trick with 11:15 remaining in the third quarter, picking a spot in the top corner of the net and hitting it with a shot from just four meters out.
- Then Leah Hodgins made it 8-4, scoring on a free position with 6:52 left in the third.
- After Colgate notched another free-position tally, Cutone responded with a free-position goal of her own to keep Colgate an arm's length away.
- Then Barton notched a goal after winning the draw and drawing a foul in the 8-meter. She bounced the ball into the net for her first career goal and gave the Terriers a 10-5 lead.
- The Raiders would score once more in the third and the Terriers entered the final frame leading 10-6.
- After a tally by the Raiders to open the fourth, Leah Hodgins intercepted a pass from the Raiders and completed the play by herself, dodging around a defender and scoring with 9:56 remaining.
- Colgate scored again, but then the Terriers rallied for a three-goal run to lead 14-8 with 4:32 left.
- First, Stevenson dodged toward the center of the arc and went high on a shot to put BU up 12-8. Then it was Geddes' turn on a similar play, as she shot high to beat the goalkeeper and make it 13-8. Cotraro closed out the run with her goal, taking a pass from freshman Avery Cutair after Cutair backed up a missed BU shot.
- The Raiders would score twice more, but Amonte scored with 13 seconds remaining as she was wide open in front of cage and ensured a BU win.
- Stevenson's 100th career point came on her first goal of the game in the second quarter and Geddes' 100th career point came on her fourth goal of the game in the fourth quarter.
- Barton's free-position goal marked her first career goal.
- Geddes now leads the Terriers with 37 goals and 44 points.
