READING, England – For the first time in program history, the Boston University lightweight rowing program will compete at the prestigious Henley Women's Regatta, held on the River Thames from June 21-23 in the United Kingdom.

A record 579 entries will compete in this year's iteration of the regatta, which began in 1988. Time trials open the event on Friday (June 21), with the finals set for Sunday (June 23).
BU will have five entries in the event. The lone eights crew will compete for the Colgan Foundation Cup in the Aspirational Academic 8+. The Terriers are one of four American-based schools racing in the event, joining Rhode Island, Saint Joseph's, and Jacksonville.
Sophomore
Ela Ersan is one of 13 entries in the Championship Lightweight single sculls seeking the Godfrey Rowsports Trophy. Senior
Savanna Jacovini will participate in the Championship single sculls as one of 17 competitors with the George Innes Cup on the line.
In the Aspirational Academic 4-, the rowers from BU's IRA silver-medalist Lightweight 4 will race for the Cathy Cruickshank Trophy. The Terriers are one of 26 entries in the event.
