BOSTON – Highlighted by a trip out west to UCLA and nine matchups against New England programs, the Boston University men's basketball team has released its 31-game schedule for the 2024-25 season, as announced by 14th-year head coach
Joe Jones Wednesday afternoon. In total, the Terriers will host 15 contests at Case Gym.
Season tickets are now available. Ticket plans include all home games for both women's and men's basketball throughout the 2024-25 campaign. Links are available at the top of the article for those who wish to renew or purchase season tickets. Single-game tickets will go on sale at a later date.
Starting with the continued rivalry against Northeastern, BU will play 13 non-conference contests before its traditional 18-game league slate. The Terriers will play programs from nine different conferences: the America East, Big Ten, CAA, Ivy League, MAAC, MEAC, NAC, NEC and the West Coast Conference.
The Terriers will open their 116th season by participating in a doubleheader with the women at The Roof against crosstown rival Northeastern on Monday, Nov. 4. They will then travel out west for the first time in 11 years for two road games, starting with a visit to the University of San DIego for their first-ever meeting on Friday, Nov. 8. BU will also face new Big Ten member UCLA at Pauley Pavilion for the first time in 36 years on Monday, Nov. 11.
After hosting Dartmouth (Nov. 16) and defending NEC champion Wagner (Nov. 19), BU will participate in a multi-team event at UMBC on Nov. 23-24 with matchups against the host Retrievers and defending MEAC champion Howard to wrap up the month. December will start off with a three-game homestand against Sacred Heart (Dec. 1), UAlbany (Dec. 7) and Thomas College (Dec. 9) and then conclude with a three-game road trip against Merrimack (Dec. 13), UMass Lowell (Dec. 21) and Maine (Dec. 29). The SHU contest will be part of the second home doubleheader of the season, as the Terrier women will host another MAAC opponent in Rider.
Patriot League play will tip off on Thursday, Jan. 2, at Lafayette and then continue at home against Army West Point (Jan. 5) and American (Nov. 8). There will be two doubleheaders against Holy Cross with BU hosting the Crusaders in a Turnpike Trophy tilt on Monday, Jan. 27, and then visiting Worcester on Saturday, Feb. 8. The regular season will conclude with the Terriers welcoming Lafayette to Case Gym on Saturday, March 1.
The Terriers return all five starters from last year's squad that earned the No. 2 seed for the PL tournament for the first time in seven years. Captain and graduate student
Miles Brewster is back for a fifth year after becoming the first in program history to claim All-Patriot League, Academic All-Patriot League and All-Patriot League Defensive Team honors in the same season. He will be joined by Patriot League All-Rookie Team member
Kyrone Alexander, who combined for four PL Rookie of the Week awards with classmate
Matai Baptiste this past year.
