Hruska Named PL Runner of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Freshman Dan Hruska of the men's cross country team was named the Patriot League runner of the week, the league announced Tuesday.
Hruska opened his Terrier campaign at the Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invite at UMass on Saturday. The freshman turned in a time of 18:34.46 over 6K to lead BU and finish fifth overall. He helped the men finish third as a team with 75 points.
The Englewood, Colo., native is the first freshman at BU to be named runner of the week since joining the Patriot League. He is also the first Terrier to win the weekly award since Robert Hannon on Sept. 19, 2023.
Hruska and the Terriers will be back in action on Saturday (Sept. 21) at the UMass Dartmouth Invite.
