November 21, 2025 | Women's Swimming & Diving
BOSTON – The Boston University women's swimming and diving team posted two individual wins, two school records and a relay victory in the 400 medley relay to set the tone on the first day of the Terrier Invite on Friday (Nov. 21) at the FitRec Competition Pool.
Senior Haley Newman shattered the first school record of the weekend, winning the 200 individual medley in 2:01.11, 11 hundredths faster than Erin Nabney '19 and her 2:01.22 performance.
Freshman Molly Barber picked up the second individual victory for the Terriers in the 50 freestyle, clocking in at 22.90 seconds to overcome the Huskies' May Bradburn at 23.00.
The night session wrapped up with a school record in the 400 medley relay with an all-freshmen lineup featuring Barber, Danka Ndubuisi, Hadar Miller and Kiki Rampersad. BU convincingly won in 3:41.41 to break a record previously established in 2024.
A heated matchup that went down to the final strokes ignited the evening session in the 200 Freestyle Relay, where BU's quartet clocked in at 1:32.10, just 11 hundredths behind first-place Northeastern.
Earlier in the day, freshman Alayna Kennedy paced the Terriers in the 1-meter dive, tallying a score of 252.3 to place fourth.
Day two of the Terrier Invite begins with the preliminary round at 10 a.m. on Saturday (Nov. 22). The finals are set for 6 p.m.
