BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After totaling a combined 45 points over two games, Boston University men's basketball freshman Chance Gladden claimed Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
The Raleigh, North Carolina, native received the Terriers' first weekly honor of the season by averaging a team-high 22.5 ppg alongside 3.5 rpg and 1.5 apg while shooting 53.3 FG%, 38.5 3FG% and 88.9 FT% against the 2025 PL tournament finalists, Navy and American.
Gladden started off by shooting 10-for-18 from the field against preseason favorite Navy en route to a personal-best 26 points, which marked the most by a Terrier in regulation. He then recorded a game-high 19 points against defending PL champion American with the help of three 3-pointers off six attempts.
BU will next hit the road, visiting Lafayette on Wednesday (Jan. 7) for a 7 p.m. tip.
