Kennedy Completes Sweep to Highlight Four-Medal Final Night of PL Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Freshman Alayna Kennedy became the first freshman in program history to sweep the Patriot League diving events, earning a narrow victory in the 3-meter event on Saturday at Lejeune Hall. Three of her teammates also medaled on the final night of the Patriot League Championships including senior Haley Newman collecting the ninth PL medal of her career.
Freshman Molly Barber claimed the third silver medal of her first conference championship, securing a runner-up finish in the 100-yard freestyle, while classmate Danka Ndubuisi secured bronze in the 200 backstroke. Newman was the defending champion in the 200 butterfly and made yet another podium appearance with a bronze-medal performance this time around.
The Terriers finished fourth out of 10 teams with 914 points.
