March 2, 2026 | Women's Basketball
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After leading the Patriot League in scoring last week, Boston University women's basketball senior Anete Adler was selected as the conference's Player of the Week for March 2, the league announced on Monday morning.
Adler secures her second Patriot League Player of the Week award this season after earning the recognition on Jan. 26. She becomes the first Terrier to win the award multiple times in a season since Caitlin Weimar in 2023-24.
According to OptaSTATS, Anete Adler is the only Division I player, women's or men's, this century to record 33 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists and five blocks in a single game, which she accomplished on her senior day in BU's 79-76 win over American on Feb. 28.
Adler made 14 shots, most by a Patriot League student-athlete this season, including a hook with 14.2 seconds left in the extra period to give BU the three-point lead. She set personal bests in points, field goals, assists and blocks with her third-career double-double.
The Estonia native is enjoying a career year, averaging 14.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game on 49.7 percent shooting with 54 assists and 41 blocks. She paces the Patriot League in rejections while ranking second in field goal percentage, sixth in scoring average and ninth in rebounding.
BU closes the regular season with a Turnpike Trophy clash against Holy Cross on Wednesday (March 4). Opening tip from Case Gym is set for 6 p.m.
