
Women’s Rowing Earns Seven All-League Awards

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Seven student-athletes of the Boston University women's rowing program were given All-Patriot League Honors, the league announced Tuesday. Junior Ingird Eshuis, sophomores Kate Barham and Laura Leong and freshman Marta Carfagni were named to the First Team while junior Lydia Pelton and sophomores Raylynn Boston and Gigi Williams were named to the Second Team.
Barham, Boston, Carfagni and Eshuis all rowed in the Varsity 8+ which was coxed by Leong. The boat raced to a 6:39.697 in the morning heat to qualify for the Grand Final. In the final, BU crossed the finish line in 6:26.042 to win gold and Boat of the Year honors.
Pelton and Williams rowed in BU's Second Varsity 8+. The crew qualified for the Grand Final after winning its morning heat in a time of 6:42.618. The Terriers won the final with a 6:33.426 to win gold and contribute towards the Terrier sweep of all four races.
The All-League awards are the firsts for Barham, Carfagni and Leong. Boston and Williams earn their second career Second Team distinction while Pelton earns her second All-League nod of her career after being named to the first team in 2025. Eshuis leads the group with her third All-League accolade and second consecutive First Team honor.
BU awaits its NCAA Championship slate which will be released during the selection show at 5 p.m. The Terriers will then head to Gainesville, Ga., to begin NCAA racing on Friday, May 29.
