Terriers Compete at Princeton Meadows Challenge

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Boston University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Princeton Meadows Challenge on Saturday morning at the Princeton XC Course.Â
Senior Adrienne Buettner-Cable paced the women with an impressive sixth-place finish. She posted a 6K time of 19:55.3 in her season debut. As a team, BU finished 10th with 241 points in a field that featured five nationally ranked teams and five other squads receiving votes in the latest USTFCCCA Division I poll.
Junior Caroline Collins finished 33rd in her 2026 debut with a time of 20:45.0. Senior Samantha Seabury was next in 58th (21:10.3), with classmates Molly Kiley (21:22.3) and Abby Waddington (21:28.5) finishing 73rd and 79th, respectively, to round out the Terrier scorers.
Freshman Cali Buxbaum finished 96th with a time of 21:40.1 and junior Luna Scorzelli placing 100th with a time of 21:42.2. Senior Merem Gabriel-Rodriguez (21:59.0), freshman Jessica Abbott (22:27.6), graduate student Olivia Dodds (22:28.2) and senior Abi Hahn (22:43.3) also competed on Saturday.
On the men's side, graduate student Freddy Collins paced the Terriers with an impressive sixth-place finish. Collins turned in an 8K time of 23:20.8 in his season debut. As a team, BU finished 11th with 311 points in a field that featured three nationally ranked teams and three other squads receiving votes in the latest USTFCCCA Division I poll.
Junior Dan Hruska was next for the Terriers, finishing 45th in his season debut with a time of 24:01.8. Sophomore Justin Ruiz was 108th (24:56.6), followed by junior James American Horse in 117th (25:10.7) and sophomore Will Tempest in 120th (25:14.0) to round out the Terrier scorers.
Junior Jacob Sushinsky (25:18.3), freshman Ryan Collins (25:28.0), sophomore Greg Poisson (25:49.1), freshman Kennan Byers (26:05.8), freshman Ramsey Hansen (26:10.8) and junior Brandon Piedade (27:03.3) also raced for the Terriers on Saturday.
BU will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the ECAC/IC4A Championships.
