BU In The NHL

Eighteen former Terrier standouts were named to an NHL opening night roster for the 2025-26 season. In addition, 17 others started the year in the AHL.
The Terriers also have the most alumni of any school among NHL front office, coaching and scouting staffs with 25, including an NCAA-best two head coaches in the NHL.
In total, there have been 100 former Terriers to make the NHL, with John Aiken being the first in 1957 and Devin Kaplan joining the list as the 100th on April 17.
