Kourtni Stevenson (née Williams) joined the Boston University women's basketball staff as an assistant coach in June, 2021. She will begin her fifth season with the Terriers in 2025-26.

In four years on Commonwealth Ave., Stevenson has helped guide the Terriers to 73 victories, including the program's first-ever Patriot League regular season championship in 2022-23. In 2023-24, BU won 20 games for the second-consecutive season, and reached the Patriot League championship game for the second-straight year and third time in four seasons.

Back in 2022-23 under Stevenson's guidance, BU notched 24 wins, set a program record and matching a conference mark with 17 Patriot League victories, and made its fifth-ever appearance in the WNIT. Individually, the Terriers have had 13 student-athletes garner All-Patriot League honors under Stevenson's guidance, including five First Team selections.

Stevenson arrived to Boston after spending the previous seven years at the University of the Ozarks, where she served as an assistant coach, assistant director of enrollment management, and most recently as the head women’s basketball coach.

Stevenson was a standout student-athlete during her playing career at Mid-America Christian University (Okla.), earning NAIA All-American honors as a senior after leading the conference in scoring (17.2) and ranking third in rebounding (8.2) during the 2012-13 season.

The Fayetteville, Arkansas product additionally shined in the classroom as she was named to the Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete Team and graduated with a degree in marketing, and went on to complete her master's degree in sport administration from Arkansas State.
