Connor Giblin joined the Boston University staff in October 2021. As the Assistant Director, Strategic Communications, Giblin will serve as the primary contact for the women's basketball, women's soccer, men's rowing, and lightweight rowing programs, while also contributing to the athletic department's graphic design and digital strategy efforts.
Giblin arrives to BU following two-and-a-half years at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York as the Associate Sports Information Director and Athletics Social Media Coordinator. In this role, he oversaw the day-to-day social media strategy for the Marist College Athletics' primary social media channels, which held a combined audience of over 61,300 followers. He also developed the department's graphic design content for the department and its 23 Division I varsity sports, adhering to the College's branding guidelines. Giblin served as the primary media contact for the women's basketball, women's and men's soccer, women's and men's tennis, and women's and men's rowing teams throughout his tenure.Â
Prior to his time at Marist, Giblin spent two years at Manhattan College as a graduate assistant in the sports communication department. There, he was the media contact for the men’s soccer, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, golf and women’s lacrosse programs. In addition, Giblin supervised the department’s creative video content and assisted with the Jasper Sports Network live game broadcasts. He received his Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Manhattan in May of 2019.

Giblin earned his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Hofstra University in May 2017. He was involved in both the Hofstra Entertainment Access Television channel and 88.7 WRHU-FM, the student-run television and radio stations on campus. Giblin served as the Sports Director at WRHU-FM in the 2016 calendar year. During his three years at the station, WRHU-FM was a two-time Marconi award winner for Non-Commercial Station of the Year. In May of 2017, Giblin was recognized by the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America as an Honorable Mention for the Jim Nantz Award, which recognizes the top college sportscasters in the country. He was also awarded the WRHU-FM Sports Broadcaster of the Year in that same month.

A native of Burlington, New Jersey and East Windsor, New Jersey, Giblin resides in downtown Boston.
