Boston University

Elizabeth Athanas joined Boston University in July of 2024 as an Operations Assistant.   

Prior to BU, Athanas was part of the Springfield College Women’s Swim Team and was a captain her senior year. She was an A finalist at the NEWMAC Championships throughout her whole career, received the Springfield College Student Athlete of the Week award, and was part of the Academic All-Conference Team.   

During her time as an athlete, she interned with the Springfield College Athletic Department for the Fall Semester of her senior year, working closely with the swim team by running their social media accounts and putting together recruiting lists. In the Spring of 2024, she interned at American International College as an Operations Assistant. During her internship, she worked the NCAA DI Men’s Ice Hockey Regional as part of the operations staff and managed the replay system during the games. She also was an Athletic Events staff member, a liaison at the Spalding Hoophall Classic and was involved with Special Olympic events while at Springfield College. 

During the summer months she was a Game Day Operations Intern for the North Shore Navigators Baseball Team in 2023 and was the Head Lifeguard at Singing Beach in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA from 2020-2024.   

Athanas graduated Cum Laude from Springfield College in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management.
