Jasher Foster joined the Boston University track & field program in October 2026 as assistant coach for sprints and hurdles, where he oversees the short and long sprints, hurdles and relays in addition to serving as recruiting coordinator for the speed and power events.
Foster comes to BU from the On Athletics Club (OAC) Sprint group in Los Angeles, where he spent a season assisting head coach John Bolton, an Olympic medalist and two-time NCAA champion. Foster supported the daily operation of a professional training group that included Benjamin Azamati, Max Thomas, Samirah Moody and Johnny Brackins Jr., learning the system from inside it — session setup and execution, training records, and the film and biomechanics work run alongside Dr. Harrison Smith and Gregory Hennes, M.S.
In just his second year of coaching, Foster developed a CIF champion and school-record holder in the hurdles and has coached club athletes at the prep and collegiate levels since 2024.
He is also the founder of Hurdle Lab HQ, a hurdle-education and biomechanics analysis platform that has reached millions of viewers and serves athletes nationwide.
As a competitor, Foster was a Division I hurdler at Cal and Oklahoma, earning a place on the all-time performance lists at both institutions.
Foster earned his master's degree in human relations from Oklahoma in 2022 after completing his bachelor's degrree in social welfare at Cal in 2020. He is USATF-certified and a native of Pasadena, California.
