For the 10th straight year, GoTerriers.com will once again count down the top 12 achievements of Boston University teams and student-athletes from the previous year. Check back each Tuesday and Friday as we reveal this year's Terrier Twelve.
Coming in at # 8 is the men's and women's track & field team's All American performers.
During the 2016-17 track and field season, three members of the Boston University track & field teams advanced to the NCAA Championships and earned All-American recognition.
During the indoor season, senior
David Oluwadara of the men's track & field team broke his own school record in the triple jump with a leap of 16.07 meters at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational and qualified for the NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships. Competing at Texas A&M against the country's 15 best triple jumpers, Oluwadara finished 9th, with a jump of 15.88m and earned second team All-American honors.
Also during the indoor season, senior
Cameron Williams broke his own school and Patriot League record in the 200m dash at the PL Championships with a time of 20.57 seconds to qualify for the NCAAs. At nationals, Williams finished 14th with a time of 20.98, to earn second team All-American honors.
During the outdoor season, senior
Toria Levy of the women's track and field team advanced all the way to the NCAA semifinals in the 400 meter hurdles after finishing sixth at the NCAA quarterfinals in Lexington, Ky. with a time of 56.66. In the semifinal of the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore. Levy finished ninth with a time of 57.45 and earned second team All-American recognition.
In addition to Levy, Oluwadara and Williams, senior
Ethan Homan of the men's track and field team advanced to the semifinal round of the outdoor NCAA Championships in Eugene Oregon. Competing in the 800 meter run, Homan finished 20th in the nation with a time of 1:49.03.
