OLYMPIC PRELIMINARY ROUND SCHEDULE AND RESULTS

- Marie-Philip Poulin tallied three assists.
- Canada scored three goals in the second and two in the third for the win.
- Marie-Philip Poulin scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the first period.
- Canada never trailed, staking itself a 4-0 lead after two periods.
- With the win, Canada secured a spot in the semifinals.
- Jordan Greenway scored his first goal of the tournament to give USA a 2-0 lead.
- Slovenia scored the final three goals of the contest to claim the overtime victory.
- Jenn Wakefield helped to create Canada's opening goal of the game in the second period when she drove to the net and took a defender away from Meghan Agosta, the eventual goal scorer.
- Canada will enter the semifinal round unbeaten at 3-0.
- Chris Bourque became the second Terrier to tally a point for Team USA, as he assisted on a power play goal in the middle of the first period.
- Bourque added a second assist on what proved to be the game winner with 17:09 left to play in the third period.
- Jordan Greenway played a strong, physical game and was one of the best players on the ice for the Americans.

- Jenn Wakefield scored two goals, including the game-winner.
- Marie-Philip Poulin added a goal as well.
- Wakefield and Poulin were responsible for the first three goals of the game.
- Matt Gilroy assisted on the first goal of the game in the second period, as the Americans jumped out to a 3-0 lead.
- After Slovakia scored a PP goal before the end of the period, USA added two more in the third for the dominating win.
- The United States took a 1-0 lead in the first period.
- After the Czech Republic gained a 2-1 lead, the Americans scored a shorthanded goal to even the score in the second period.
- After a scoreless third and 10-minute overtime, the Czech Republic stopped all five USA shootout attempts while scoring one to advance to the semifinals.
- Marie-Philip Poulin scored her fifth goal in three gold medal games to give Canada a 2-1 lead with 13:05 left in the second period.
- The United States tied the game with 6:21 remaining in the third period.
- After both teams failed to score in a 4-on-4 20-minute overtime, USA edged Canada, 3-2, in a shootout that required six attempts from both teams.
- Both Poulin and Wakefield received a silver medal for their efforts.
- Poulin, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, becomes the first Boston University student-athlete to win a medal in three different Olympic Games.
- Wakefield is the 10th BU student-athlete to claim at least two Olympic medals, as she was part of the Canada's 2014 squad in Sochi.
