After following up a 27-point performance at American with her third-career double-double in a thrilling 61-58 home win over Loyola Maryland, Boston University women’s basketball junior Sophie Beaudry has been named GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
The Chambly, Quebec, native averaged a league-high 25.5 ppg in two contests last week with 7.0 rpg and 2.5 bpg while shooting an impressive 67.7 percent from the field. She first posted a career-high 27 points on 11-of-15 shooting with five blocks and two assists in a hard-fought 73-62 loss against the Eagles.
Beaudry then helped BU rally from a 15-point deficit this past Saturday by tallying nine of her game-high 24 points in the fourth quarter alone to help the Terriers outscore the Greyhounds, 25-10, in the final 10 minutes of action. Her 10th rebound came in the final seconds and sealed the victory.
