After scoring a goal in both of the men’s soccer team’s shutout victories, sophomore Matt McDonnell has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
Also named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, McDonnell started off by converting on a penalty kick in the 13th minute against Holy Cross en route to a 3-0 win. He then headed in a key insurance goal off a cross from junior T.J. Butzke in the 77th minute of a 2-0 win at Lafayette.
McDonnell now leads the team with three goals and is tied with freshman Toti Knutsson at six points.
