BOSTON – After earning a spot on the All-Patriot League team for the second consecutive season, three members of the Boston University men's soccer team have added to their awards haul with their first All-Region recognition, as announced by the United Soccer Coaches organization.
Senior Quin DeLaMater claimed a spot on the All-Atlantic second team, while both junior Andrea Di Blasio and senior Diego Rived placed on the third team. The trio helped the Terriers become the lone program to advance to their fourth straight Patriot League semifinal with the other conference members reaching no more than two during the same stretch of time.
Named the PL Defensive Player of the Year in 2024, DeLaMater anchored a backline that recorded shutouts at New Hampshire alongside home wins vs. Navy and Colgate. He scored one goal and assisted on the game winner at Harvard and followed up in the next game with a pair of assists against Loyola Maryland.
A 2024 All-PL First Teamer and 2025 Second Team honoree, Di Blasio increased his point total from last year, finishing the regular season with five goals and an assist for 11 points. He first recorded a three-point performance (1g,1a) vs. Brown before netting the game winner vs. Navy. He later followed up with a brace against Loyola Maryland and a goal off a successful penalty kick vs. Holy Cross.
Recipient of the 2024 PL Midfielder of the Year award, Rived assisted on a goal against Northeastern. He directed traffic in the midfield in 17 contests and played a team-high 1,348 minutes, which were more than 200 over the next closest Terrier.
