After advancing to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the triple jump, graduate student David Oluwadara has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
Competing at the NCAA East prelims in Tampa, Florida, on Saturday, Oluwadara finished seventh with a leap of 16.00 meters (52’ 6”) and was one of 12 qualifiers to advance to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held on June 6-9 in Eugene, Oregon.
This was the fourth straight year that Oluwadara qualified for the NCAA East prelims in the triple jump and the first time he advanced to the NCAA Championships.
Oluwadara currently ranks 13th in the nation with his school-record mark of 16.21 meters (53’ 2”) which he set on April 14 at the Auburn Tiger Classic.
