After winning gold competing against openweight competition at the Dad Vail Regatta, the members of the lightweight varsity eight boat have been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athletes of the Week.
Made up of Katie Barnett, Janice Hagerman, Amy Connell, Izzy Bichler, Haleigh Prindle, Caroline Birdsall, Josephine Olson, Sarah Maietta and Frances Hausman, the V8 finished first in the grand finals with a time of 6:13.67, almost four seconds faster than second-place Drexel (6:17.13).
Last week, the V8 boat won silver at the Eastern Sprints, helping the Terriers win the Ulbrich Trophy as Eastern Sprints lightweight team champions.
