After winning gold and silver medals at the Patriot League Championships, senior Lovie Burleson of the women’s track & field team has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
Burleson won the long jump with a 5.89-meter (19’4”) effort on Saturday and then claimed silver in the triple jump (12.02m, 39’5.25”) on Sunday en route to being named Patriot League Field Athlete of the Meet.
This is the second time in her career that Burleson has been named Patriot League Indoor Field Athlete of the Meet. She also won the award as a sophomore at the 2017 PL Championships and was recognized as Rookie of the Meet back in 2016.
